In Deuteronomy 6, Moses gave instruction to Israel on how to pass their faith on to the next generation. Moses said in verses 6-7, “These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” In Ephesians 6:4, Paul commanded the Ephesians to “bring their children up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” Whether its Israel or the church, God commands His people to raise up their children to honor and glorify Him. We will set aside a time during our Nov. 5th worship service, to dedicate our children to the Lord and commission our parents lead their families to follow Christ.
